William, or Smooth as he is known to the streets, is a down south King of the Streets. He runs his operation throughout the South, with his main headquarters in Birmingham. Smooth has the money and the respect, the only thing he doesn’t have is a woman to share it with. But with his business, it is hard to find a woman that he can trust. He is looking for love and not lust.
When his sister comes to visit him at his Atlanta home, she takes matters into her own hands and signs him up on a dating website. She is unaware of his secret hustle and goes full throttle to find her brother a mate. William is not into the dating site thing. In his line of business, he could have any woman that he wanted, but curiosity takes over and he takes a look and stumbles across Angel Jacobs.
Angel is a church girl looking to come out of shell and find love. When she meets the 33-year-old chocolate man that she believes to be a truck-driver, she is instantly head over heels. Angel is just the woman that William has been looking for. She is a well spoken, classy, full-figured woman with a good head on her shoulders. And the biggest plus, she is not affiliated with the hustle and bustle of the street life. Their first date goes well until it is abruptly interrupted by his pregnant ex-girlfriend, Sheila.
Hoping that doesn’t ruin his chances with Angel, William attempts to set Sheila straight. But when Sheila, who may be his potential baby momma, begins to threaten his empire and relationship, William realizes that something or someone has to go.

This was a quick read took my a few hours. I think it was smooth just like Williams street name aka Smooth. This had a little of everything but everyone had a common after the storm. Hopefully Angel & Robyn will be okay once truth comes out about William line of work. Jock should face the face he is not about that life but he wants the benefits of that life.. Looking forward to part 2....
This book was a total upset. This was amateur writing all through this book. Straight garbage! I can't even apologize to the arthur for my true feelings.
Amazing book, I didn't stop reading until the end. Can't wait to read part two. Its better than watching television.
I loved the book. Smooth really took care of his family. He made it here he could spend more time with them.
I absolutely Loved this book, I'm soooo ready to read part 2. I don't like to read but, this book has me ready to everything that's no lie it really caught my attention at the beginning through the middle to the end. Keep them coming )
THIS WAS GOOD
This was my first read by this author, and I must say it will not be my last. The beginning is with drawn me in, from the scene with Jock, Roe, and Smooth. I knew from there this was going to be an intriguing read. They did have a few errors here and there yet it didn't take away from the book. William was a stand up guy yet he truly lived to different life styles. From the outside looking in he was William this truck driver, yet to the people that truly knew his lifestyle he was Smooth and he ran the streets. Honestly I thought he was done with the street life, and was going to give it all up yet that was further than the truth. Sheila a blast from William's past is pregnant, and trying to do everything in her power so that he could be with her. I must say she went through some drastic measures and that ain't even the worst of it. She didn't care who got hurt in the crossfire. Robyn, William's sister I truly felt for her because Robert did her wrong. He didn't care about her nor the kids and constantly showed it. I was proud of her when she realized her worth and the fact that she working on some things before she went to Atlanta. Angel, she's just that. I must honestly say she kept the family together and spoke a lot of wisdom. I love the relationship her and William has. The fact that incident happen in there first date and she didn't leave or stray but instead give him amazing advice made me respect her even more. She looked out for everyone whether it was inviting them to church, pushing them forward, getting someone a job, or looking after a child that wasn't hers. You can tell she truly loved the family. The scene at the park vouched for that along with the hospital scene. I must say I was very shocked to say the least that Sheila went through those lengths to get Smooths attention, and I'm even more shocked at the individual that she was messing with yet from some scenes in the book I can tell that person was always jealous.
The detective is a grimy man, I can't wait until he gets his karma. I'm glad William finally found lobe and Angel is the perfect woman for him, the fact that there parents accepted them as well as Robyn let me know they were a good thing. Now with being a father and married man, I wonder if William will leave the game alone for good or is he to invested in it?
The ending left me both happy and sad because I kind of know what's going to come in part two. In this book you'll get betrayal of the finest, love connections, kid napping, blood shed, and a whole lot more. This is an must read!!
